BMW Steering Wheels
Custom BMW steering wheels — factory-direct, OEM fitment, global shipping.
BMW steering wheels are the build we do most often, and the reason is usually the same: the wheel that came with the car feels flat next to the rest of the interior. We rebuild it — or build a new one — around a genuine BMW core, so the airbag, the multifunction buttons and the heated rim all keep working.
Our BMW range covers the 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 Series, the X1 through X7 SUVs, the Z4, and the M cars — M2, M3, M4, M5 and M8 — across E, F and G generations. The airbag and the connector changed between those generations, so the wheel is matched to your car's build rather than to the badge alone.
The classic BMW build is a carbon fibre or Alcantara rim with the M tricolour stripe at 12 o'clock, a flat bottom and stitching matched to your interior. If your car was specified with a heated wheel or the lane-departure vibration motor, both are transferred into the new rim — we do not simply discard them.
Paddle shifters on automatic and DCT cars are reused from your original wheel or supplied with the build, and the drive-mode and volume buttons keep their factory layout. Send a photo of your current wheel and the last seven digits of your VIN and we confirm the core before production starts.
Fitment & Compatibility
Materials available here: Carbon Fiber.
Fitment is confirmed against your chassis code and model year before production — send us a photo of your current wheel and we will verify the core and controls.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will the new wheel keep my heating and lane-departure vibration?
Yes, where the original wheel had them. The heating element and the vibration motor inside the rim are transferred into the new wheel. If your current wheel has neither, they cannot be added afterwards.
Do my paddle shifters and steering-wheel buttons still work?
Yes. The wheel is built around a BMW core matched to your car, so the multifunction buttons, the drive-mode selector and the paddle shifters keep their original functions and wiring.
Can I keep my original airbag?
On most BMW builds we reuse the airbag and clock spring from your current wheel, and the new rim is shaped to accept them. If your airbag is damaged, tell us before ordering.
Which BMW generations do you cover?
3 Series across E90/E92, F30 and G20; 5 Series F10 and G30; the M cars; and the X1-X7 range. If your chassis is not listed on this page, send a photo and we will confirm whether we have the core.
Should I choose a round rim or a flat bottom?
The flat bottom gives a little more legroom and a motorsport look; the round rim keeps the factory silhouette. Both use the same core and controls, so this is purely a shape decision.
Alcantara or carbon fibre for a daily driver?
Alcantara grips well and stays cooler in summer but needs periodic cleaning. Carbon fibre with a leather grip is easier to live with every day. Many customers order a carbon upper rim with an Alcantara or leather lower rim.
